Татьяна Алексеевна Шаклеина, заслуженный деятель науки Российской Федерации, д.полит.н., профессор Кафедры прикладного анализа международных проблем, возглавляла кафедру в течение 15 лет. Она пришла в МГИМО из Института США и Канады РАН, где возглавляла Отдел внешнеполитических исследований, и вместе с Алексеем Демосфеновичем Богатуровым и Марком Арсеньевичем Хрусталевым разработала курсы по прикладному анализу международных отношений, мегатрендам современных международных отношений, мировому порядку, роли великих держав, прежде всего, России и США, и другим научным проблемам. Татьяна Алексеевна является научным руководителем магистерской программы «Глобальная политика и международно-политический анализ».
В интервью для журнала «Международный аспект» Татьяна Алексеевна рассказала о том, как основы прикладного анализа внедрялись в учебный процесс в МГИМО, что необходимо студенту для успешного освоения дисциплин, как соблюсти баланс между количественными и качественными методами в исследованиях. Она поделилась о взаимодействии кафедры со студентами, особом духе сообщества молодых исследователей и корпоративности МГИМО.
Tatiana Shakleina, Honorable scientist of the Russian Federation, Ph.D., Professor of Political Science, is Professor at the Department of Applied International Analysis; she headed the Department for 15 years. Before MGIMO she did her research in the Institute of the USA and Canada Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, as the Head of The Center for Foreign Policy Studies. In the University she worked with Alexei Bogaturov and Mark Khrustalev to elaborate courses on applied analysis of international relations, megatrends of contemporary international relations, international order, great powers relations, especially the role of Russia and the US, and other scientific problems. She is scientific supervisor of master program Global Politics and International Political Analysis.Tatiana Shakleina told International Aspect how applied analysis was integrated into the learning programs in MGIMO, what a student needs to successfully master the disciplines and how to find the equilibrium between quantitative and qualitative methods. She spoke about the interaction between the Department and students, a special spirit of the community of young researchers and the corporate unity in MGIMO.
